Icarus - The Biggest Sport Scandal Discovery

     First starting this movie I thought it would be predictable. Main character Fogel begins to doping and sees how far he can go before he can get caught. Well I was far from the truth with my assumption. It was full of turns and massive plot twist that I never thought to have expected. How the person that helped Fogel was actually the mastermind of a whole scheme. Grigory Rodchenkov, the man that was the head director of the anti doping lab in Moscow was ironically under disguised to help rigged the Olympics.

    Moreover, One scene that caught my attention was a phone call Fogel had with Rodchenkov. Rodchenkov describes himself as a priest, healing his doping paranoia. Unshackling him from his limits and bringing him to a win. It was an interesting set of phrases that was said, making it show that Rodchenkov had this immense power that holds control of Fogel. As later on in the film it shows that he was the mastermind of the doping scandal that happened in Russia. That adds makes him a more powerful figure. On the other hand, when the film reach its end, there were many questions raised. Importantly, what happened to Rodchenkov, where is he now, and if he can ever show his face to the public.

    To add on, extra research would be done within our summaries to clarify points or to see if there is updated news to the subject. Keeping the information clear and updated, in the scenario that there were after effects that could have potential happen.

college challenge

      I have been doing well in college so far. But the one thing that sticks out the most and has challenged me is time management. Not in the sense of being all around the campus and doing homework until the last second, but deciding what to fill it with. My schedule has been blocked out with classes for each day and times of practice, potential work hours, and studying. However, I found it so difficult to incorporate other things like club opportunities because some of the times class with each other. Or finding time to lift because homework is due still. Nonetheless, its a constant trial-and-error run for me and slowly but surely I'm improving upon it.

Cardinal search was quite a useful tool for me, as it made my research paper easier to create with its available sources. Initially, I felt overwhelmed as I had no idea how to filter through the various sources. Time was limited and I had activities outside of school that kept me preoccupied. Although the search engine made it significantly find sources to strengthen my paper. It made the process much smoother as I found specific sources with the conditions I needed to earn the points needed. Enabling different filters on the search engine made sorting through different types of journals/sources easier, rather than spending most of my time through Google Scholar and finding sources that were either not as useful or had no correlation. More importantly, the recommendations I was given continuously furthered and gratefully supplemented my research in reinforcing my points. Addiction

       I have been keeping track of my thrifting purchasing and the lack of space that continues to grow. To give some context, my dorm is already filled with my clothes, and have exhausted the space for extra space for clothing. At this point, I resorted to selling and swapping articles of clothing each time I went back home for the week. On the bright side though, I've grown and explored many more different styles now. With the minor but also a major drawback of my checking account tanking down at a steady rate. Fingers won't be pointed but I will say that my mom is also a shopaholic, and in my defense, she influences my purchases every week on our son and mother's excursion to the thrift stores. If worse comes to worse then I will ask Goodwill to have ban me from their vicinity until I'm financially stable again.
