Rational argument

Image
Researching my rational argument was an interesting experience. Especially since the topic I had chosen was quite a controversial one. Arguing about an impactful movement was scary, as I needed to address it without sounding too harsh. Moreover, I wanted to create claims that were not heavily outrageous or biased. And to uphold the truth while avoiding negative generalization of the movement. Even with extensive researches, and seeking out less biases interpretations of the subject from papers. Additionally, formulating an impartial bias as a way to understand both sides and get a better grasp without leaning on to my argument. Overall, It was difficult to scramble around my words and create sentences. As previously stated, I was put on a thin rope to balance on and not fall. Creating a mindful pathway on the approach to the issue. Regardless in the end I was able to make the Essay with the points made and evidence brought. However, through the workshops and peer reviews, I learne...

pokemon

Image
An obsession I have had since childhood has been Pokemon. I remember the first time I got my ds and 3 games as a Christmas gift, one of them being Pokemon Fire Red. I don't know how many hours I've spent in total playing Pokemon but it probably has been over some thousand-hour mark. At this point, I'm not sure if I could call it an addiction or a fun hobby. Even after some years have passed, I am still as big of a fan of Pokemon. Different generations, with different pokemons, and different regions always keeps the content feel fresh. There used to be only around 300+ now after a decade it has a number that surpassed a thousand. A monstrous number with tons of content that I could play for hours on end. Without the exhaustion of playing the game extensively or even running out of things to do. The possibilities are endless when I play pokemon. So much time passed and I can't believe I'm already in college. Living out a life that I never imagined when I was little. A...

Scholarly research

Image
I used to think about "scholarly research" as a team that's been tossed around for more old and first-person point-of-view information. It sounded overly complicated and even intimidating with its contents as I have not done proper strong research before. But upon the discovery of scholarly research I learned a whole new side and thoughts about my topic. It was flourishing with many different kinds of information that taught me so much about my topic. Initially, I thought that I would get a one and done thing without much interest or reason to the topic at hand. Although this changed when I learned the consequences, pros, backlash, paradox of many things. It caught my eyes, it caught me attention, and my interest in the subject matter. Through various ways such as studies, graphs and charts, evidence, and even photos from that time. In a time where misinformation is massive these days. It was great to see and understand research with accurate information. Which also help...

Searches

Cardinal search was quite a useful tool for me, as it made my research paper easier to create with its available sources. Initially, I felt overwhelmed as I had no idea how to filter through the various sources. Time was limited and I had activities outside of school that kept me preoccupied. Although the search engine made it significantly find sources to strengthen my paper. It made the process much smoother as I found specific sources with the conditions I needed to earn the points needed. Enabling different filters on the search engine made sorting through different types of journals/sources easier, rather than spending most of my time through Google Scholar and finding sources that were either not as useful or had no correlation. More importantly, the recommendations I was given continuously furthered and gratefully supplemented my research in reinforcing my points. Incredibly I understood my topic greatly and understood both sides clearly. I can confidently say Cardinal Search ha...
